Visit to Lorne Biennale 26/3/2014

Yesterday Chris and l travelled to Lorne, a small sea-side town on the Great Ocean Road. It's about a two hour drive west of Melbourne. We went to view the Lorne Sculpture Biennale which was won by Louise (Louise of Callum and Louise). Her prize was a commission to create a permanent sculpture for the Lorne foreshore. Around 100 sculptures, big and small, made up the Biennale. Not many of the sculptures resonated with me; some were creatively bland, others followed well worn modes and forms.

Go here to see a few of the sculptures, including Louise's winning piece.
