Just got back from a lovely few days with Yvonne and Trevor down at Lake Tyers in East Gippsland where the weather was perfect. I had decided to store my Catspaw sailing dinghy down there rather than Docklands in the city. It meant a four hour trip with trailer & boat, but no traumas getting there. Put the boat in on Sunday with Trevor and l going for a test row, mainly to check for any leaks in the boat - all good. So when we have our annual get-together in late January we can go rowing and sailing and maybe catch a few bream!
The lake has a beautiful setting and is largely undeveloped.
At night while lying in bed at Yvonne & Trevor's house you can hear the pounding of the surf down on the ocean beach; very elemental.
Go here for some photos of the Sunday launch.
