Hamilton Island: Sept.2015

Each year Kathy, Danny and the girls go north during the first week of the September school vacation; this year to Hamilton Island. We go with them to help with kid wrangling. Our daily routine on Hamilton looked something like this: early breakfast, down to the beach (Catseye Bay) by 8.30am, lots of swims in the sea and nearby pool (Milena and Andreja are terrific swimmers), coffee and hot chocolate around 10am, more swims, drive the buggy somewhere for lunch, back to the house for naps, reading and quiet time and finally, at around 6pm, off to one of the local restaurants for dinner - all very relaxing and wonderful to be helping with the girls. Transport on the island is via electric buggies with each house/apartment having a small garage complete with buggy. Very eerie not to hear car engine noises on the street.

After a cold Melbourne winter it was terrific to have a week of warm weather (around 25C each day) and it was a delight to be with Kathy, Danny and the girls. I wonder where the venue will be next year!
