Last Wednesday Chris, Judy and l took the train to Geelong, an hour trip from Melbourne, to visit the National Wool Museum and the Geelong Art Gallery. Electric train to Melbourne than diesel to Geelong all for $7; a beautiful blue sky day. The museum traces the history of wool production in Australia and on this occassion the Future Wool Exhibition from Australian Wool Innovation Limited was on display. This brings together a cross section of design interpretations in Merino wool from across the globe. Lunch at the museum restaurant, then a quick visit to the Geelong Regional Art Gallery before heading to the railway station for the trip home. An enjoyable day.
