All the family came to our house for Christmas lunch: Kathy and Danny and their two girls Milena and Andreja, Rachael and Dylan with Axel and Amber (who just turned two) and Callum and Louise. Before lunch the grandkids did drawing activities and then we opened presents - Kris Kringle for the adults ( Santa gave me a single malt whisky!) and presents from all for the kids.
Milena had stayed with us overnight the week before and together we made paper chains and place names for Christmas Day.
Lots of hijinks by the kids (including light sabre battles), delicious food prepared by Chris, tasty wine chosen by Louise and Andrew and lots of talking and sharing; towards the end, calm settled with drowsy kids and quiet talking amongst the adults. A lovely Christmas.
