Last weekend we visited Trevor and Yvonne who live at Lake Tyers in East Gippsland. During our stay we drove inland for a pilgrimage to the Tambo river. The Tambo valley has deep significance for Chris as her ancestors settled land at Reedy Flat in the Tambo Valley in the 1880s. It was a lovely warm day, so at the low bridge across the Tambo we stopped and paddled in the river and ate our picnic lunch. At this spot almost 60 years ago Chris, her sister Judy, Tinka the dog and their mum Jess stopped at the same location.
