Yesterday l went to a pre-view of this exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria. I wonder whether the comment in the introductory text (see photos) about the "banality of British Art (1848) and the “slosh” regularly exhibited and considered in good taste” might not apply to some art exhibited today. What do you think?
