Just back from the Wooden Boat Centre after checking a trial cutting of bead and cove strips for a new dinghy l'm building. This time an Iain Oughtred Auklet:7'2" x 47" x 18". The strips will be cut from 8 Western Red Cedar boards 51/2" x 3/4". I've set up the building frame, moulds and inner stem; it's now ready for the stripping to begin.
