Today Chris and l drove to Kyneton (1 hour north of Melbourne) to view the annual Lost Trades Fair. Lots of people milling round each active display of craftspeople as diverse as luthiers, spinners, coopers, cordwainers and chairblers. I really enjoyed the visit; craftspeople closely connected with raw materials, producing beautiful and functional items. Each craftsperson l talked to, seemed willing and keen to talk about their work. Thanks Keith for alerting me about the event.
