A while back l went to an exhibition of Japanese lacquer ware at the National Gallery of Victoria which included several furniture pieces. The first picture below was taken at the exhibition, while the second picture is my version of the table; stained not lacquered. My version is taller so you can fold your legs underneath and eat lots of sushi and sashimi from the table top.
