On Wednesday Chris and l visited the city to do some shopping for our trip to Vancouver in March and to have lunch with Callum. After lunch we walked down to Federation Square to view "Stickworks" which was created by Patrick Dougherty with some help from members of the Basketmakers of Victoria (l'm a member). A wonderful sculpture.; inside you could soak up the woody smell from the willow and look out the windows at the church across the road. The first picture in the photo gallery sequence, shows the work soon after completion. Over time the structure has lost its "greenness" as the wood dries out.
