I'm looking out our sunroom window at the back yard. It's very still, no leaves moving on the apple gums, with high dark clouds threatening more rain. It's been a miserable week with much rain and cold winds. I've been hankering to be elsewhere at a place with warm sea water, warm sand and a warm climate!!
I can see the mother and baby tawny frogmouth sitting at the top of the agonis flexuosa waiting for night to fall; time then to hunt for food. Below is a picture of a tawny taken earlier in the year.
