We’re just back from a short trip to catch up with friends in Vancouver. It was a week of Japanese food eaten at Grace’s place and several Japanese restaurants; all delicious and innovative especially eating the fillets and the crisp bones of a sole at a restaurant in Steveston. Had lovely meals at Bill and Bonnie place, where we caught up with Ted and Sharee, and Spencer and Katherine’s place; all very welcoming and happy to see us. Saw a play, “The Post Mistress”, and enjoyed a lovely meal at a hospitality training centre. Visited the Bill Reid gallery in downtown Vancouver which exhibits works of First Nation people, especially that of Bill Reid. A quick visit but great to renew our friendships.
