On the spur of the moment Chris and l decided to fly up to Canberra for the day on Thursday to view Louise’s exhibition at the Canberra Contemporary Art Space. Lunch first at the Italian & Sons, then onto the exhibition and finally for a brief visit to the Federal parliament where both the House of Reps and the Senate were siting; in both chambers only one or two members present!!!
And then on Friday night to the opening of a joint exhibition featuring Lousie and Lisa’s work. Both the Canberra and Melbourne exhibitions of Louise’s work showed dynamic, playful shapes constructed from found objects and representations of these via paintings on glass. I loved the vibrant colours throughout, especially as used in the paintings. An amazing amount of work by Louise.
